Our Sunday school teachers start or continue their important ministry this past Sunday at Gospel Baptist Church in Archdale, NC. I want to thank these men and women who shepherd their little flocks. Your Sunday school teacher prays for you and cares for you.
Sunday school teachers had a great impact on my life growing up in Gospel Baptist Church. One of my teachers, when I was a Junior Boy, would at the end of each class, ask us to raise our hands if we knew Christ. I was unsaved, but I would raise my hand. He made me face my unsaved condition each Sunday.
I also thank God for my mother who took me to Sunday school so I could be exposed to God’s powerful Word. All her work eventually paid off when I came to Christ as an 18 year old.
Sunday school teachers, your faithfulness to study and teach and care for your students is a great ministry, and we as a church are blessed to have your life changing influence in our lives. Sunday school students, thank your teacher in the near future for his or her dedication.
